Expose. Immerse. Equip.

See the future.
Step into it.

NextGen STEAM helps young people explore careers across science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics — then connects that exploration to mentors, projects, college and career readiness, and real-world experiences.

Institutional Services

We can run the program — or help you build your own.

This is the professional-services side of NextGen: helping schools, municipalities and nonprofits turn a youth-development idea into a structured, fundable and measurable STEAM program.

01

Program Design & Curriculum Architecture

Program model, cohort structure, learning objectives, session flow, mentor touchpoints and age-appropriate delivery design.

02

Launch & Implementation Planning

Enrollment workflow, school/community coordination, technology needs, staffing, scheduling and delivery-readiness planning.

03

Mentor & Industry Partner Strategy

Define mentor roles, outreach strategy, guest-speaker formats, site-visit opportunities and partner-engagement models.

04

Grant-Ready Program Packaging

Outcomes framework, budget categories, implementation narrative, measurable objectives and supporting program language for funding applications.

05

Evaluation & Outcomes Framework

Pre/post assessment concepts, engagement indicators, student goals, confidence, skill development, mentor quality and partner reporting.

06

Train-the-Trainer Support

Give an internal team the structure, materials and operating approach to deliver a NextGen-style program consistently.

Outcomes

More than awareness. We want movement.

The original NextGen framework was built around both knowledge and behavior: what students understand, how they see themselves, and what they do next.

K

Knowledge

STEAM subjects, career pathways, college choices, application processes, scholarships and financial-aid awareness.

C

Confidence

Stronger STEAM identity, sense of belonging, career self-efficacy and reduced anxiety around unfamiliar fields.

S

Skills

Problem solving, teamwork, research, data interpretation, communication, time management and critical thinking.

A

Action

Career planning, deeper engagement with STEAM activities, mentor relationships and clearer next steps after the program.

The NextGen Method

Discover → Expose → Immerse → Equip

The model begins by understanding the student, not forcing everyone through the same path. From there, students see possibilities, experience professional environments, build practical skills and leave with a clearer direction.

  1. DiscoverAssess interests, goals, current knowledge and support needs.
  2. ExposeIntroduce majors, careers, technologies and professionals students may not otherwise encounter.
  3. ImmerseUse projects, site visits, speakers and hands-on experiences to make the future feel real.
  4. EquipBuild practical readiness through skills, mentorship, resumes, college/career planning and ongoing guidance.
Funders & Partners

Fund access. Open doors. Build the next generation.

NextGen is structured so philanthropy, corporate partners, municipalities and community organizations can support specific parts of the student experience.

01

Sponsor a Cohort

Help underwrite a complete student cohort, including instruction, mentoring, materials and experiences.

02

Technology Sponsor

Support devices, software, learning tools and access to current technology.

03

Industry Partner

Provide speakers, mentors, tours, demonstrations, career exposure or project challenges.

04

Community Partner

Bring NextGen to a school, youth organization, municipality, neighborhood or existing youth initiative.

What funding supports

Turn exposure into access.

Funding can support instructors and mentor coordination, guest speakers, devices and software, transportation and career-site visits, project materials, student outreach, data collection and program evaluation.

About

NextGen STEAM is an initiative of Sleinad Foundation.

NextGen builds on a youth-development framework originally created around mentorship, professional exposure, project-based learning and career immersion. The current model expands that foundation for today's digital and AI-enabled world.

Its goal is simple: help young people encounter possibilities they may not yet know exist, then give them practical support to move toward those possibilities.

Family-led. Community-rooted. Focused on opening doors.
